Our intent is not to certify trends and fads, but rather instill core values that lay a foundation for progressive education. Either in-person or virtually, we aim to leave staff and administration understanding the why. We will leave you armed, rehabilitated, and ready to tackle fundamental changes that you desire (no matter your current situation). Our purpose is not to indoctrinate or assimilate, but rather encourage your discovery of the human element in education.

We do not offer a "canned" approach to your development as we want real change to occur.  Although we certainly specialize in key aspects of education, we are adamantly opposed to the "one and done" workshops found commonly in education.

Get Started Today!

Every single school is different. We will work with administration, staff, and students to build the best possible developmental experience. Therefore, our primary goal is figuring out what best serves you. Before arriving, we will survey, question, and analyze information asked from your school community. From there, we'll build a school-centered program that drives you further in progressive education.

Our schools are in dire need of pertinent, student-focused professional development. Our mission is to reform and adapt education. We’re not trying to make traditional methods better – instead, we want to incorporate facets of progressive education, unschooling, and most important – humanize the experience. Many elements of each are fine; however, it all depends on who you are, and that is what we intend to do: help students figure out who they are.

A RESTORED HUMANITY

Our schools are in dire need of pertinent, student-focused professional development. Our mission is to reform and adapt education. We’re not trying to make traditional methods better – instead, we want to incorporate facets of progressive education, unschooling, and most important – humanize the experience. Many elements of each are fine; however, it all depends on who you are, and that is what we intend to do: help students figure out who they are.

WITH CREATIVE DELIVERY

There’s nothing worse than a PowerPoint training over techniques on avoiding lecturing in a classroom. Why, if we know what is best practice, would we deliver our content traditionally? Our Reformative Development encourages project-oriented mindsets, open discussion, and reflection. We want everything to actually matter – so we consistently listen and adapt to your feedback.

THROUGH INNOVATION

Research overwhelmingly showcases that traditional practice is failing the majority of our students; however, where we will go from here? We cannot offer a concrete solution – as every community needs something different. We, as educators ourselves, strive to provide you with the mindset, materials, and motivation necessary to move forward with progressive practices at your school.

The Human Restoration Project focuses on kindling and encouraging your vision and ideas through best practice and progressive methods. While we may certainly educate students, staff, or admin on these techniques, it is important to know that without altering one’s mindset, all is for naught. Instead, we want to help you rediscover your passion for education. We're aware that everyone's scenario is unique, so we adapt and individualize development to your needs.

CULTURE

Underlying everything is a vision. Without a strong understanding of a school’s culture; students, parents, community members, and staff will struggle to build a vibrant community. We can contribute by:

  • Designing a vision for your school based on community need and your outlook.
  • Creating policies; such as restorative justice, student schedules, or activities, that bolster your school’s identity.
  •  Enacting reflective development with your staff to reinforce policies or bring to light new ones.

HUMANITY

So many schools have lost what matters most: humanity. Practices of traditional instructional method and outdated school policies have created an environment that drains, rather than energizes education. We can help by:

  • Administering reflective development to engage new progressive practices.
  • Listening to feedback from your students, staff, and administration to come together on new insights.
  • Coordinating educators with a new teaching outlook that will successfully engage students.
  • Concentrating on student passions through a genius hour.

EXPERIENTIAL
EDUCATION

All of our sessions are designed the same as how we’d want to be taught as students ourselves, and contributes to knowledge of the practices itself. All of our reflective development is based on and utilizes:

  • Project Based Learning / Experiential Learning design process.
  • Socratic Discussion and reflective thinking.
  • Movement away from “one and done”, “drill and kill”, methods towards actual real-world practice.

Would you like us to perform a "school analysis"?
A school analysis is our way of creating a fantastic reflective development experience using preliminary feedback from your staff and students. This is a great way to take your school to the next level if you don't know specifically the issues you face.
For example, do you need help with... student-centered thinking, project-based learning, discipline management, reflection in the classroom, student ownership and choice, building a strong culture, developing a vision, encouraging student voice?
