The HRP Primer is an introduction to the work of Human Restoration Project and a new vision for progressive education. It gathers what we practice into one place: a research-grounded guide to reimagining school from the ground up.

Our Primer exists because thousands of educators, students, and families refused to accept the default, and there's no way we could name everyone who influenced this work. These writings are grounded in practice: the people in classrooms, the conversations in hallways, and the lessons learned in the field. You'll find numerous citations throughout, and know that if you've ever talked with us, you've shaped what's here.
