With 2 1/2 decades under her belt and a fair amount of gumption, Catherine embraces the human experience through learning as a student of life and through the daily interactions with the middle schoolers that call her Miss Catherine. She enjoys turning a skein or two of yarn into blankets, headbands, and other crocheted goodies, all while protecting said yarn from her boldly curious felines. A Muskegon native, Catherine enjoys the farmer’s market, supporting local businesses, and bon fires (ideally with marshmallow roasting).

Announcing Conference to Restore Humanity! 2025: Quest for Connection (July 21-23, 2025). In 2025, we’re responding to the need for community and solidarity in uncertain times by turning Conference to Restore Humanity into a model for humanizing critical discourse and dialogue: bringing together students and teachers, researchers and doers, thinkers and visionaries to explore complex topics in education and illuminate a path forward together.
We are working with young people, educators, and schools to design engaging communities by...
creating purposeful, community spaces.
advocating for social justice.
eliminating dehumanizing practices.
building spaces that value us as humans.
