Troy taught American History, Civics, and the Humanities for one year at a middle school Montessori program in Michigan and also has several years' experience as a climate justice organizer with the Sunrise Movement. He is now a substitute teacher in metro Detroit and author of On the Side, a Substack about liberatory pedagogy.
This research aims to compile and analyze historically significant documents related to progressive education. By examining these documents from various perspectives, we seek to have a deeper understanding of the lasting impact of progressive education.
